Chennai Japan Expo 2024 Concludes with Great Success, Serving as a Strong Bridge to Japan!

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the Chennai Japan Expo 2024, held on November 9 at VR Chennai, Anna Nagar. The event welcomed around 12,000 cultural enthusiasts, students, and professionals from diverse backgrounds, all eager to explore the vibrant world of Japanese culture, travel, education, and work opportunities. Organized by the Consulate-General of Japan in Chennai in collaboration with ABK-AOTS DOSOKAI, Tamilnadu Centre, and our venue partner VR Chennai, and supported by JETRO, JNTO, and Study in Japan (JASSO), the Expo featured a rich lineup of exhibitions and interactive activities. Visitors enjoyed hands-on workshops, martial arts demonstrations, ikebana displays, tea ceremony sessions, and captivating music and stage performances.

Martial arts demonstrations, Japanese songs performance by Tsugaru Shamisen, Japanese anime songs performance by Violin, Flower arrangement, Tea ceremony, panel discussions by Japanese companies, cosplay show by Chennai Anime Club, music performances by Team Mystic Jonestsu and Idol Kanapon etc.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all panelists, performers, and participants for their engaging contributions. The panel discussions on education and work opportunities in Japan offered valuable insights for aspiring students and professionals, while the cultural workshops provided meaningful introductions to traditional Japanese arts.
