Strengthening Japan–India Relations through Exchanges between Ehime Prefecture and Tamil Nadu

A delegation from the Ehime Prefectural Government, Japan, led by Vice Governor KAN Noriyuki and accompanied by Consul General of Japan in Chennai TAKAHASHI Muneo, paid a courtesy call on Ms. S. Keerthana, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Government of Tamil Nadu, in Chennai.

The Ehime Prefectural Government signed a memorandum of understanding on economic cooperation with the Government of Tamil Nadu in January 2024 and has since advanced cooperation across various fields.

We held fruitful discussions to further strengthen the close and growing ties between Ehime prefecture and Tamil Nadu and to explore new opportunities for business, investment, and industrial cooperation.
